_Hi there!

I'm really excited to start sending out weekly newsletters to you guys, and I hope that they can be encouraging and inspiring for all of you.

For Those of you who have not met or who I do not know much about me, I'm currently living in Baltimore, Maryland, and I am Attending graduate school at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health to get a Masters of Science in Studying Public Health Child and Adolescent Health and Development. Whoa whoa whoa-That Was a bunch of really big, random words. Basically I decided to go to school for two extra years to study how I can help children have better health.

Since this is the first newsletter, I thought it would be great to share with you my Testimony! Testimony? What's that? Another big, random word? A Testimony is my life story and journey about how I became a Christian. Knowing, practicing, and sharing your Testimony is Because a great skill-a) it helps you remember why you believe in Christ and b) you can share it with your non-Christian friends. Because my parents are strong believers, I grew up in a family where I went to church mulitiple times a week, played piano as services, and participated in all the Christmas plays. However, I did not really understand why those things I did. I believed in God, my life did not look much different from my non-Christian friends' lives. It wasn't until my freshman year at college that I finally became a true follower of Christ.

So what was the difference? I was a Christian before, and I am a Christian now. How did my life change? instead of doing things just because--I had always done them, I REALIZED that I needed to do these things ultimately to glorify God. God can be glorified When I ask him for wisdom about what classes to take. God can be glorified as the peace I seek His anxious times. God can be glorified When I am gentle and kind to my parents even if I disagree with them. In everything, God is glorified when I rely on His sinful character rather than my character.

So what about you? Do you know why you believe in Christ? Do you glorify God even in the little details of your life? Are you willing to surrender your whole life to Him? Ask yourself these things and answer honestly! You do not have  to share this with anyone only God Himself ( and the cool thing is - He already knows!). Also, if you have any questions about anything I shared in my newsletter, please email me!

Until next time,
